My fascination for the structure and form of trees has led me to seek out and represent the variety of textures, pattern and colour they form. having spent a late winter day in the garden pruning and piling up the clippings I turned to the resulting heap and it hit me between the eyes that I had created an encapsulation of the textures and colours of the natural world that fascinate me. Without manipulating the heap I photographed the seredipitous arrangement of Dogwood, Apple, Pear and ash branches and twigs. The damp atmosphere accentuated the colour of the barks and lichens. The selected images are always exhibited as a vertical group.
