While still steeped in love for the natural world, I want to include the truths revealed by science and the evidence this provides that establishes our place in our shared environment.
During the last two years, I've taken many photographs of rock faces, stones and beaches and painted landscapes that show the effects of the elements, wind, water and heat. In the studio I've worked on concepts that incorporate notions of breaking down materials, like rocks becoming sand, each mineral and molecule occupying a space before the process of entropy sub-divides then again. In the realm of quantum physics this process of sub-division continues.
